Project Information

I was looking through posted projects today, 1/11/2018, and it seems everyone was posting stools, so I thought I would post one too. I made a pine version of this for a church gift exchange and my wife liked it so I made one for her out of red oak. It is very sturdy and way to heavy, wish I would have used something else. The first one I made I did it just to see if I could do a Maloof type joint, and surprise to me it worked. Thanks for looking.

Nice job and a two stepper would be much safer and useful, being bigger.

I like it, but what really impresses me are the wood floor vents. Did you make those yourself?

The sudden bunch of stools being posted are mostly from a shop class from Wahoo, Nebraska.

We should recognize that it is great to see young people making something from Wood.

Stefang it has been very useful, but like I said it is very heavy.

doubleG469 I did not make the floor vents they were provided by the flooring manufacturer. I did make a wall vent for in the basement I try to remember and post a picture, it was not very difficult.

Redoak49, I do like seeing the posts from the young people. I have a friend who's daughter who is taking up wood carving. I try to help whenever I can.

I love the joints on it. Also think that it may suck to move it if its heavy, but the last thing you want is it moving around when you use it cause its so light.
