I used some old spruce scraps I had for years for this .
The finish is stain and some wipe on poly
The texture is done with small router and a carbide ball mill

Thing are very frustrating but life goes on .
I have improved and am back in the shop and hope for better days!
The mill has been shut for good and sold to a service company ,but 2×4 SPF of any quality are hard to find and cost between $10.00 to $12.00.
Hope you are playing in the shop and keeping healthy !

Well yes the catalog is getting larger and I have displayed my work at several shows .
This box was a design idea and meant as a gift to a good friend of my Daughter but my Daughter claimed it when my wife sent her some pictures .
Now it's back to the shop and make a couple more .

I designed it to look old but with a fresh look and I enjoyed the build using old lumber scraps .

Nice build Kiefer, I'm liking that hammered finish more and more as I see it. Plus like most of woodworking it can be gotten a variety of ways, always choices. It sure gave that Spruce a great look.
