Project Information

"S P O T T Y F I S H " By Bazza:: Made from "LONDON PLANE" & "LEOPARD WOOD" Plus a little Wenge Cherry and Bubinga for the Eye. Around 10 inch across & 7 inch high plus a Keyhole slot on the back useing my palm router and bathed in Tung oil .
Fancied making a spotty fish for a while so here he is with a smile.
Made from amazing Leopard wood very similar to Lacewood and London Plane.
LONDON PLANE was first recorded in SPAIN in the 17th Century and is a HYBRID of Oriental Plane and American Sycamore Has amazing figure like Leopard wood but white/yellow & both softish and brittle.
For more info on London Plane check it out via search engine.
Large fasinating Tree with a very patchy colorful Bark.
Well I enjoyed making my Spotty Fish and it now hangs with pride on my Lobby wall.
Thanks for checking out my projects

THANK YOU for all your kind comments on my SPOTTY FISH. This project was not one of my designs
I bought this pattern from AUSSIE SITE Fantasticwoodworking.com for a few dollors and then modified it to suite the timbers.. There is also some good free patterns on his site so go check it out.
