Project Information
This is my first try at a spiral any thing. These are walnut and about 10in tall. The base is 3/4×3 3/4". They are not perfect but it was a lesson in turnning. The table slopes on that end so it may look like they are not the same hight. It was alot of work but fun. I did some things out of order. Like turnning the side on the base on the first one first. I learned do the top and bottom then the side it is a lot easier. Above all pay close attention to your lay out. I didn't divide one time on the second one. There fore the twist was not as tight as the first. So now I have half of another set. Thats why the one has sap wood in it. I will take these up to the Main Street Gallery where iI show some stuff. They are having their 1st anniversary and showing. I took the bowls down yesterday. I also have some scrimshawed powder horns in the gallery as well. If I can get the plug in the one I have been working on all winter I'll take it to. I may post some horns later. Any way take alook thanks.
