Project Information

One last Christmas present for this year, well I may make a pen or two yet.. This is a spice rack, the girlfriend try buying her parents a "store-bought" spice rack when I said "we can make one of those and it will look alot better" Well, I laid it out in Sketchup to get the proportions down and get approval. Here is the result.

The jars have a magnet on the bottom which stick to washers countersunk into the walnut pieces. Sliding dovetails used throughout. Finish is BLO and shellac.

It was a very easy project. The jars came from Farm and Fleet. Wood is pretty much scrap.

Simple but stilish. I've always liked elongated dovetail joints. Great job. Thanks for posting.

Very nice! Some nice space for labels on the shelves too.

I may borrow with permission.
