Spice rack

A spice rack made from some old walnut I had lying around. I cut the trim pieces with a scroll saw and finished them off with a carving knife.

I did not go out of my way to sand this. I liked the rough look of it. It's finished with one of my all time favorite preservatives-used motor oil. And since it sits over a hot and steamy stove, any hardcore sealer would have been catastrophic to the wood.
