Project Information

This is a baseball bed that was completed in April 2010. It is a version of our standard baseball bed where we use Ash wood to match the bats. We then have the letters carved into the headboard. This customer added a set of captain's drawer on one side.

After the carving was completed we paint the recesses black. Normally we do this by hand, but I had an idea. What if we added a mask over the wood before the letters were routered. Then after the painted we remove the mask and no clean up. It seem to work fine until we tried to take the mask off. The adhesive was too strong and made this process take longer than expected. Then we had to remove the residue of glue. It took a little elbow grease, but it turned out nice.

This is awsome. I can't think of a young boy who wouldn't agree. Great design and useful storage. I see the end table and dressers match as well with the baseball pull-handles…....nice touch.
I do have to question the 3 & 2 full count with 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth with the home team ahead by a run…......game would have been over after the visiting team didn't score in their top half of the ninth inning. (sorry - I had to point that out)

I guess it would have been. I have the customer fill out the form and we do what they put on there. I see you have an "eye" to detail. Thanks ohwoodeye.
