I've got the most wonderful wife in the world…who's let me build this shop into our house! I've got 440 square feet…which is just enough right now. I'm sure it won't be in the future.

It's in the shape of an L, so I've got the power tools on one side…and the hand tools…and a couple of select items on the other.

The band saw, radial arm saw, jointer and drum sander are mobile…as are the planer and router table. The table saw, mortiser and chop saw are fixed….

Anyway…that's my shop.

I'll add more pictures as projects…such as the workbench I've built..additional storage for hand planes and tools.

The cabinets are birch plywood, with beech edge banding….and shop made walnut pulls and trim pieces…

I'm off to the shop!

Great shop. Where do you store your wood, under the master bed.

Welcome.

Lumber is stored in the garage on shelving over the cars.

I hope the shelving is strong.

Hi Scott,

I am sorry that I am just now getting around to reviewing your workshop post. but I am glad that it came up on my list. You have, without a doubt, the most visually appealing shop I have seen. Finished walls, recessed lighting and hardwood floors- WOW. Your wife must be a very understanding person. My shop is located in the lower garage next to the finished basement. I often get yelled at for "tracking sawdust into the house".

You have some nice tools and enough space to work in. Plus you have heating and air as well. Very nice. I would like to work in there.

Thanks for the post.
