Project Information

About 3 years ago, I was walking around in a building materials outlet when I found oak stair spindles for 25 cents, loose 8" stone tiles for $2.00 dollars a box, adhesive and colored grout on close out. I could not pass up such a deal and these tables are what I did with my treasure trove of goodies. The stone tops are sealed and the tables withstand the weather on my front porch very well. I used the spindles, cut to about 28 inches long to make the table legs.

Great looking little tables. I enjoyed the story about how economically that you were able to buy the materials. Did you build that rocker too?

Terry,

Nice project. This is my type of story. I love being able to do things like this in an economic fashion (my wife calls me cheap). :)

Thanks for the post.

Thanks fellows. No Cajunpen, I did not build the rocker, but I bought it broken in pieces and made the repair parts and reassembled it. I really like the bent wood, but I can't get my wide posterior into the little chair. It sticks to me when I get up which is a real popular stunt at parties.

Good reclamation project. No worries about setting the hot drinks on it.
