Project Information

After about 40 years of manufacturing a gazillion raised panel doors, I am having a ball being a little artistic and doing a little fun stuff.

Here is yet another box I have done recently. Hand carved using a Dremel-well maybe not "hand" carved,
but I did it free hand -holding the Dremel!

The box is Walnut and Maple, again saved from the trash.

Kent,
Nice. I particularly like the way the graceful curves flow into (or from) the lift. Very attractive piece.

Kent:: Have you looked at Steward MacDonald

They have a mini router base for a Dremel or a Foredom handtool base to do routing. They work great, easy to control because the router bits are real small.

And if you look on eBay for circuit board drills you will find some small carbide router bits.

Great looking box.

Kent… Very NICE!

I like that style…

That terquoise … is that a small Rock inlaid… or a slice of a rock inlaid??

Thanks everyone for the encouragement.

Karson, Thanks, I actually have that base for my Dremel (in fact it came from them) I'm using a flex shaft.
I can get the more hand-carved look that way. The cut is not so squared off like a router would be.

Joe, I am using crushed torquois, fine or course, depending on the size of void I'm filling.
Blog coming soon, so I won't get into the details yet
