I did a project like this for my girls, lots of fun.

Wow, i thought that was a full sized bed until i seen the tools to give it perspective. nice detail.

Thats a really nice bed, I made canopy bed a few months ago for my neice. I like how you did the joinery. I used mortice and tennon as well, but I did not run the tennons the whole way through

The staggered through tenons are a nice touch. Remind me of some of the things Krenov did.

Thanks for the kind words. I noticed that my mortises came out a uniform 1/32 too large. I never figured out what I did wrong. Is probably from using the wrong technique prying the waste out with my chisel.

I noticed on the inside of the joint. This is one reason to chop the shoulder in a tenon (in other words not do full width tenons) as the shoulder hides these kinds for inconsistencies very well. Full width tenons have there place though, they speed things up and make things stronger.

Prettier than my first mortises though. They only get better from here, so you are well on your way at this point.

Curious since you mentioned it. How do you lay out/execute the joint?

Well done! I've just been introduced to AG Dolls as my 6 year old is now very much into them. I will say that I was shocked at their costs based one nearly identical dolls selling for 1/3 the cost. She's gotten two from Grandma so far. The things like beds are something I just can't justify as far as the costs. Your project is easily $100+ if it carriend the AG name. Well done. I just posted a piano konck off a few days ago. The $155 sticker on the AG one made it a no brainer to attempt to build. Nice to be able to see them smile at these ones. Keep them coming.
