Project Information

This is a maple sofa table that was made as a gift. It's all maple with the top being quilted maple with a straight grain maple edge, curly maple legs and each of the aprons have quilted maple inlays. The basic dimensions are 36" long, 14" wide and 32" tall. It's finished in a dye with a light amber shellac over the top. The dyed & shellac combination really make the quilted maple pop and give a really awesome 3D effect at the right angle.

Nice design and execution. Any chance of more pictures showing the leg curvature and aprons. I'm looking for ideas.

I will try to get some pictures of the legs and aprons but it will be a days until I can. Thanks everyone for the positive comments. This was the first piece that I designed from scratch and built.

Wonderful first piece! Very delicate. When you take the pictures, think…"Does it do your work proud?" I'd like to see the things that excited you when you built it? Like the movement of the piece?

Excellent craftsmanship!
