Hi John, I see you are rapidly expanding your turning talents. I have a hooked set that I can mount different cutters onto. I like to use the scraper blade to finish the inside with. It is a small cutter in a curved triangle shape that attaches to the end of my hooked extention and my straight extention, both of which attach to the turning tool's handle. I'm not sure offhand, but I think it is a Sorby set. This does a good job for final smoothing.

I have a Sorby Multi-Tip set which is similar to the one you are talking about. Mine is straight with the 1/2 flat bar. I guess I was under the impression that the scraper tip was more for the outside of the turning. I'll give it a go on the next one and see how it works. I really like that tool for hollowing, and when used in conjunction with my other sorby hook tools I get into the more difficult areas without much effort. My biggest concern is the the scraper on the straight bar won't let me get up under the shoulders near the opening. I may see if I can fit the cutter on my other hook tool

All right John your skill is improving. Nice piece. When I get my lathe you are going to have to give me some pointers.
