Project Information

I made a couple of these small cherry clocks for family for Christmas. I used a design i borrowed from Woodsmith magazine, 2012, but used Cherry instead of maple.

i had a really hard time gluing up the frame for the glass covering the face. would appreciate any tips for small frames.

And… though the pic was upright in my photos, I can't figure out why it rotated 90 degrees upon posting. New to the Apple MacBook Pro…

This is a very nice looking mantel clock! It's got a nice, Shaker look to it!

As for gluing up smaller frames, you can use blue painters tape to hold the frame together while the glue dries. It's quick and easy, and you can get it anywhere.

This clock in cherry looks nice. I built the same one a while back and then took that design and changed it a bit by, basically, removing the lower drawer and changing the glass frame a bit. I've made a couple of that design as gifts, but I think the original is very "classic" looking. Nice job!
