Sliding Top Box

This is a small box I made up to house a few layout tools for shipping. 13" x 4" x 3" high, made from Walnut. Started out with some 4/4 Walnut and resawed it and planed down to 1/4" thickness. Mitered corners, with a Red Gum angled spline. The Bottom is set in a dado and the top slides in a dado. I built up the end of the top for a solid joint since I beveled the top. I also used a small block of Red Gum to create a turn lock to hold the top closed. Finished with Danish Oil and Howards Feed n Wax.
