Project Information

The people I made these tables for just built a second home in the mountains. They supplied me with a bunch of dimensional lumber left over from the construction of there home and ask me to make the tables from that.

The sleigh coffee was made from a picture the people had and was the most challenging project I ever made. The frame was made from 4×4 that was resawed to shape the varies parts of the frame including the rails. The assembly also called for both the rails to be tilted towards the center at 7 degree angle, The biggest challenged was the rails, I laid the hole thing out on my cad program, from that I was able to determine how to glue the varies parts to form the radius. I printed out the rail drawing to there actual size 53" long and 20" high from that I made a template from ½ mdf. Once I had everything together I rough cut the rails on the band saw and the final shaping with the temple and router. The people I made the tables for did the staining themselves.
