Project Information

This is a sketch of my son i did for him as a Christmas gift. The frame body i made from a chunk of Sapele with a walnut front attached with brass screws. The finish is clear satin lacquer.

Measures about 2 1/4" thick x 8" wide x 6" tall. Thanks for looking!

Great idea for a frame! Looks better than the easel type stand. Good sketch too. This should make your son happy to get.

Nice sketch and a nice touch with the build. For whatever reason it makes me thing of the brightwork on a yacht.

Douglas, my son recently did the navy thing. I think a maritime theme was lurking around in my head while coming up with it. I got way too much lurking in my head come to think of it…hehe

Dan, i see a little bit of your tapered tile frames in this too. See…you influence others in ways you don't even know about!
