Project Information

This project brought many pieces to the workbench.
Every time I picked it up or started to mess with it, more and more pieces would fall off.
Through many biscuts, dowels, and gluing, the final product came out pretty nice for the customer.
I used the polyshades finish of which I was not all impressed with.
Overall , the customer was overwhelmed because when they gave it to me they said it couldn't be fixed anymore and could not be used. Now sits in their welcome center of their offices as a show piece.
Wow.

Great job.

I happen to know someone who has a virtually identical table. Fortunately, it is still in pretty good shape. It certainly is an interesting table.

What an interesting table design. Do you know anything about its history? I am trying to figure out how the top works to make it larger. You did a fine job restoring it to showpiece quality!

Rando,
I, too, enjoy the challenge of bringing old furniture back to life and usability.
You've done a fine job on this wonderful table.
I wish I could have been there just to watch!
Best regards,
Don

Wow. Thanks for the encouragement everyone! Better get back out in the shop.
I do not know much about the history of the table but would love to learn more about it if anyone knows.
I am curious of its roots and it did have a production number on it. Anyone with any info, would love to hear thoughts.
