Project Information

My kiln is firing … that will be in the blog …

Searched through some boxes in the garage and dug up this 6 panel.

I've only made about 10 sets of these tiles in the past 4 or 5 years. Always had severe processing-breakage problems. Never had a complete 6 piece together at one time.

Hopefully with the new p-clay I'm using it will be corrected. Big thick heavy tiles.

Cleaned off the plaster from wood, removed the screws on the back, and coated them with linseed oil.

Still haven't got a use for them.

For a real woodworking project, they probably still need a days work of finish / sanding and stuff done to look real nice.

For use in a plaster tile mold, that kind of detail is lost any way. Texture is part of it.

Maybe frame it ? Use it for a head board panel ?

No wonder you have breakage problems. Your Kiln is laying on its side.

Dan;

Now, after seeing the picture of the kiln, I see why your picture is turned sideways. Makes it easier to look into the kiln. Clever!

Great looking pieces.
