Project Information

This is a simple wooden planter made from offcuts of European Oak found laying around in my wooden garage doors workshop - it's a nice little thing to put together for yourself, or to give someone as a gift.

You might find it easy to figure out how it was made from the photos above - it's basically a simple frame with some boards for cladding. The boards are glued and screwed into the frame, and two boards are attached to make a base (as you can see in the 4th photograph).

The finished planter is sturdy enough to hold a good-sized plant, as you can see from the last photograph.

It's a good example of how to make sure you use every piece of wood left over in a workshop!
