Project Information

This is a night stand that I made recently. The design is based off of a plan I saw in one of the magazines some time ago. Prior to getting started with the construction, I created a 3D model of the night stand in a CAD program from Autodesk called Inventor. I like making 3D CAD models and working part drawings with dimensions on Inventor because it helps me to visualize and understand all of the parts and assemblies prior to cutting and working with any material.

The material here is cherry that I had from a trip to a hardwood dealer in upstate New York.

Once that cherry darkens up a bit and becomes "redder" it will look even better. Nice work.
