Project Information

Some shop stools made from a 1-1/2" plank of walnut I had lying around. As you can see, one had great color and figure. The shorter one is around 24" high, with birch legs from a tree out in my woods. I split out the parts, shaved a bit on the horse, and finished on the lathe. The taller one has a white oak frame that I had to saw from an air-dried plank. A lot harder to work, but well worth the effort. These stools were a lot of fun; I shaped the seats with a travisher and spokeshaves, and did a lot of handwork on the frame, too. As usual, there is more information on this build on my blog, but if you want specific measurements or any other information, let me know.
