I picked up a couple of feather boards ($2 each) at a weekend Estate Sale, among several other tool finds. Time to retire an old feather board that has served me well all these years - with a zero kickback record.
To install the Mag-Jig® Magnetic Clamps, I needed to elongate the holes a little, because I have a 1-1/8" bit, but not a 1-3/16" bit. (How many of us own a 1-3/16" dia. bit (or, for that matter,a 1-5/8" bit for the 30mm clamp)?!)
Sadly, the shop-made feather boards did not seem to have ever been put to use since made by their previous owner (Tim). What isn't sad, however, is that I will take good care of them just as their maker would have, and I will let them perform the function that they are designed for.
The last photo shows what I picked up from the sale over the weekend.
