Project Information

This was a set of Shaker end tables I made for friends and family this Christmas.

I used the popular wood working plans that can be found here http://www.popularwoodworking.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/HiRes-SEPT2004-Seg2.pdf

I did not dovetail the drawer. I am just not there yet. The rest was pretty true to the plans.
I roughed out the taper on the bandsaw, and finished it with my rabbet plane.

The Walnut table is made of mortise and tenon joinery. The two painted tables are made of pine and pocket holes.
My family told me they wanted something they could paint.

Colors and drawer pulls were not my choice. I grabbed some tears on Christmas, which makes it all worth while.
