Nice design. Did you turn the legs too?
Hi JCamp

I didn't, but you know how you buy something for a project 10 years before and don't use it? Well I've been hailing the legs from one house to the next over a bunch of years and finally got to use them.

Beautiful design and build! Your friend is very lucky.

When will you make the matching chair?

When will the friend sew you a custom fishing shirt?

Quick Sew has a nice pattern for that kind of shirt ...ask how I know!

Very good!
Think butler hinges , for any upgrades you may think are needed.
An excellent choice of machines too!

Very well done on a woodworking point of view.
I use a sewing machine from time to time as my wife can not/doesn't want to use it.
Those hinges might catch the fabric and rip delicate ones.
Ask your friend if she is ok with them. Otherwise, she would not dare to complain because:
"we do not look at the teeth of a horse that we receive".

Why not put those hinges on the underside?
(and add a pivoting support for the drop leaf if there isn't one).

Hi Sylvian,

You're correct. They selected the hinges and are now having the issues with the fabric. They put tape over them to prevent the fabric from catching.
