that's pretty impressive. I like that third picture the best, it's a nice look of the segmentations.

two questions, do you ebonize your own walnut? and how if you do.

what finish did you use?

Beautiful! Every time I see one of these segmented piecesI tell myself I've got to do a little research to figure out exactly how they are made.

This a really nice design. I agree with Charlie M. The more of these posts I see the more convinced that I am missing out on a unique woodworking experience by not having a lathe.

The woods really compliment each other.
