Project Information
I finished up a batch of double clothespins this week with a design I finally feel is satisfactory. It took over one year off and on prototyping the design.
These are made of ash and full coiled stainless steel springs. They are tumbled to soften the edges and then finished with boiled linseed oil. There are two main uses for these:
They can be used during the colder months of the year, when clothes may freeze to the clothesline. Once the clothes are done on the line, one end of the pin can be detached and then brought back inside.
These can also handle garments/blankets that may be too thick for our normal pin since one end will attach to the line, the other end will be freed up to grasp the material by itself.
