Project Information

Wood And Materials Used
small cherry slabs
Tools Used
router, table saw, sander

A neighbors friend ask if I would make a sign like this for her house. It's a log cabin style home so she wanted it rustic. I showed her some cherry lumber and she agreed. to it. Wants it in the yard for extra security I guess. I added a coat of epoxy so they should have it many years. They said it was much better than they expected. Good so I charged them more.
Edit.... I didn't mention the added 2 x 2's around the top. I know a lot of times the ground is hard or may be almost frozen so this way you can feel safer using a hammer pounding it in without damaging the top of the post. (I do it a lot)

Cricket, Let me know, shop is open 24/7 except when on the lake fishing.

Thanks Eric. I figure whatever makes people feel safer is worth it. I don't believe in them much but then again it's added security.

Thanks Brian. That'd interesting, I wonder how it would look in Spanish.

Polite way to say "Nothing to see here, just move along"

If your neighbors friend is also a neighbor, that means to your yard DD

Some nice lettering work and great idea on the post protector.

Nice work, Dave! I sure wish I’d gotten a notification that my buddy had posted a project. Almost missed the darn sign.

Thanks splint. Just move along, ---- I like that. That little post protector was a add on at the last minute. I know I;ve destroyed a few post in my days trying to pound them in hard ground.

Thanks Dave. Same thing happening here. I have to look very slowly at the projects now. I've missed a few but caught up with them later
