Gorgeous work, Kenneth. Was this a commission or a personal project? Either way, it's still gorgeous. I am jealous. It's one of the two areas of woodworking that I am interested in but haven't yet ventured into-carving and turning.

Beautiful.

Always,
J.C.

Kenneth,

This is absolutely gorgeous. I feel I should say more but to do so would not add anything of substance. The artistry of the project itself speaks volumes about your skill both as an artist and as a carver.

Thanks for the post.

Kenneth, as Dennis said, Stunning. I only wish I had such talents.

I'd like to be in an octopus' garden, in the shade.

Hi Kenneth, glad you made it to Lumberjocks. I love this piece, actually I like all your work. You are a fantastic carver. I didnt realize you were also carving poplar. Is that the wood you usually use?

Hey Doris (Cookie),

I started off carving in poplar and most of my earlier pieces are carved out of poplar. I'm branching out trying different woods. I am currently working on some pieces in Mahogany and Lord willing after that I will work on my biggest piece to date which will be made out of basswood. Thanks again for introducing me to lumberjocks.com
