I download a couple of Steve Good patterns, the first is the nativity cross. I printed it out and for some reason it was much smaller than it should have been . I looked at it and said what the heck, I will cut it anyway, I also printed the pattern the correct size and cut that one also. The small cross is 7 1/4 inches tall and the bigger cross is 10 inches tall. the smaller cross was actually much harder to cut than the larger one. The smaller cross has a black mat paper backing and the larger has a stained 1/4" plywood backer.
Steve also sent out the snowman pattern last week, it is a segmentation pattern. The pattern is cut from a single piece of wood, all the edges are slightly rounded over that all the pieces are glued back together. It is made from western red cedar. I also want the result to be an ornament so I reduced the pattern to 60%, so the result is 4 1/2 inches tall (about as small as some of the pieces could be cut)
