Project Information

After creating my Rocking Reindeer pattern (SLD 360 on my site) I had many, many requests to create standing reindeer as well. I thought it would be a nice decoration, along with a fretwork sleigh.

The reindeer are made from maple. I cut them on the scroll saw and used a Dremel rotary tool to gently round the edges. They stand approximately 8-10" tall each. There are five reindeer poses - four regular reindeer and a single "Rudolph" with a round nose. They are really nice individually, but can be displayed in groups of any combination you can think of.

The fretwork sleigh is made from maple and has walnut runners. I created it completely on the scroll saw and made the building process as simple as possible.

I sell the patterns for the reindeer and sleigh individually, or as a set (SLD479).

Thank you very much for looking! :)

Nice! I love those designs. Makes all the others I've seen look clunky and stupid.

You have DXF or EPS files?

Thank you both! All patterns that I sell can be sent through the regular mail or send through Email with no shipping charges in PDF format. Most people choose the PDF files.

I appreciate your kind words.

Great pattern Sheila. I ordered the set Monday and have the sleigh body assembled and the runners cut. I used cherry and walnut on mine. My son and I will be starting the reindeer tomorrow.
