i have some rust like that on the surface of my jointer.. wd40 and steel wool will eliminate that?

EricW; I used the WD40 and steel wool to get most of the rust off, then I used a wire brush, that really did the job of shinning things up. It's a small wire brush I put in my drill driver and that worked great.

I have the same model scroll saw. It's worked well for me for 5 years now.

that looks like new, using talc (baby powder) on metal tops helps to repel moisture, as does wax also.

It looks good. I use rubbing compound on a scott brite pad with my random orbital sander and then floor wax.

Doug, Nice buy and good work with the rust. WD40 and steel wool can clean even severe cases of rust.

A lot of our Turrent mills and Lathes etc are prone to rust spotting…......we just use 240 and 600 Wet-Dry paper on a O/Sander with very light oil….......brings it back like new real quick.

John Gray, it will use both pin and pin-less. I've never used a scroll saw, so I'm just finding out what blades to use for what, should be fun.

I just bought one of these as well, does yours vibrate? mine vibrates like crazy and I cant figure out why… everything is bolted down tight….

The one I have (exact same model) vibrates quite a bit on the faster settings too so I keep it turned down fairly slow most of the time. At least now I know it's not just mine.

I had the same problem with my saw wd40 steel wool to remove rust and to keep it rust free coat the table with car wax wipe well

I'm looking for a saw along this line. I don't know whether i'm needing a bandsaw or scroll saw. I'm 15 so i can't afford to buy both. And the last thing i wanna do is lose money.. Which should i invest in?
