Those are very nice Christmas presents. I like the ability to adjust the size of the rack.

woodencreations:

I got the duck pattern and the praying hands pattern from u-bild.com.
I got the light of the world pattern from a book of scroll saw patterns called Christian and Inspirational Patterns by Tom Zeig.

The duck one is made of pine. The others are soft maple.

kosta,

I use a Dewalt that I purchased from Kentec tools in my area.
I think Home Depot or Lowes used to carry them. If not look on line if you're interested.

I looked at several before I bought this one. I chose it because it had the on off switch right up front, it is variable speed, you can detach and reattach the blade quickly and without tools (very important because some designs require allot of piercings). It has very low (almost none) vibration, which is another important feature.

I think it is the best saw for the money. You might find a better one but it will be about 3 to 4 times the cost of the Dewalt. Also, I don't use it allot and I don't cut anything over 3/4" thick. If you plan to go into full scale production and cut thicker material you might want a more commercial saw.

I hope this helps.
