Project Information

I had a bit of spare Birch plywood left over from a previous project and since I didn't have anywhere to put screws in an organized fashion I decided to make this. Nothing too fancy, I made it something like the old library card holders that you would see before the age of computers. With eight drawers in each, I made two of these units, the drawers come out so I can bring them to the assembly table with me. All of the drawers are labeled on the handle (shop made I may add) with the screw size so I can easily select the drawer I want. The two units fit neatly in the cabinets I have across the back wall and are a lot more pleasing to the eye than a lot of cardboard screw boxes, however as you can see by the screw boxes above the unit, I still have more screws than I have room for.

Really neat. Great use of scraps. Much nicer than one of those plastic things from Canadian Tire.

This is a nice project that helps keep your screws organized. I just throw boxes of screws in a drawer and have to search for the box that I need provided, of course, that I have some left. This is a pretty good idea and I am sure you could use more drawers.
