Project Information

Today project was for work. Shop time this morning during the rain, then install this afternoon. Its nice to get paid for my shop time, and the boss is happy too.

Built from 2" x 6" cedar, with 2 - 3" dowel pins in each end of the rails. Screen will be installed later (EZ-Screen) and the painters will stain to match the rest of the exterior woodwork

My next project is to build 12 shutters for the same house, so shop time again.

Thanks for looking

Thanks Dave. Simple project, only 3 boards each, and it kept me dry this morning.

Thanks Pottz, or the beefed up one, heavy duty. But this is what the homeowners want. And I can't blame them concidering the location and the house style.

We worked on these for the past few weeks along with some others.

Nice looking house. Love the rock work on the fireplace. Is it real stone? I did a stair casing and fire place once with fake rock. It looked OK for my first effort. The door is a screen door only? Are you also doing the front door?

Thanks Ed, yes the rock is real, stone mason is doing that. We did the faux beams inside. All of the doors are 8' and ordered. This is a 1 mil house on the lake, you can see one of the golf course greens in the second photo. I also did a custom master closet and pantry there.

Thanks, Grizz, Peter and Ivan

A lot of nice work there Eric. The cedar will last as long as the house.

Wow, excellent work, Eric! I love the exposed soffits and the computer desk by the window in what appears to be a pantry or bookshelf-lined corridor-office.

That is a pantry area, with a small fridge going in under the window. Thanks Devin.
