Any shop organization is always a win. This also looks like you need more tools - so good design!!

Thanks, Barb! Haven’t seen any dovetail saws I needed to rehab lately.

Neat gender bending... Looks like you'll have to go on a saw shopping spee DP.

And maybe a rubber purchase,

I expect that edge will get chamfered at some point, Ducky. Not sure when I’ll pull it down from the wall to do that, but the square corners will eventually bother me enough that I’ll fix it. But not today.

Good idea Dave. How often do we reconstruct things to make things fit for our ongoing tool collection.

This morning was reconfiguring my old rasp till, which will be holding a different set of rasps once I get it done, Dave. So at least this week, almost everything I’ve done has been reconstruction.

Good reuse of that till. It save a lot of work but with a little more you'll have it a cleaned up with nice curves.........Cheers, Jim

I have the same set of 3 Veritas saws. Since my eyes aren't as good as they used to be, I marked them with some coloured duct tape so that I could tell which saw was which as I approach the till from a distance away. Can you guess which is which?

Fine (20 TPI), rip and crosscut.

Thanks, Jim! Yeah, for now I’m trying to get some clear space so I can finish up the knives for the swap and get my laundry hamper assembled and finished. Then I can circle back and clean this up.

Thanks, Kent! I actually have a set of five Veritas saws, as they were running a scratch & dent sale and I picked up another dovetail saw and a spare sash saw (the intermediate one). They’re an okay value for the money, especially buying seconds. But I’d rather find old beat up saws on eBay and rehab them, I think.

You're going to have your shop so well organized you won't be able to find anything 🙂
Nice repurpose!

Yeah, there is that danger, Steve! At the moment, I’m just trying to find my bench. ;-)

Nice documentation Dave. What is that 2nd saw from the left?

What is that 2nd saw from the left?
That’s a Rob Cosman Professional Dovetail Saw, which has the interesting feature of having the first couple inches of the blade at 22tpi and the rest of the blade at 15tpi. When I really didn’t know what I was doing, it helped me get a smoother start, but now I don’t find it especially useful. Not sure what I’ll do when I try to resharpen that saw myself.
