Nice design, and the wood is beautiful! If I had more saws, I would like to do the same.

Very nice. I like the ambrosia maple. I notice that you don't have any type of stabilization at the top I.e. A kerfed block. Do the saws tilt/ fall over. If you run out of room I'll help store some saws for you

That is a sweet cabinet. I only have 1 hand saw. I'd only need a narrow one. Cool stuff.

your correct. nothing across the top. The reason is I needed to notch out the right side for a beam. I thought about lowering the entire till but needed a 4 feet clearance under it. I played with the idea of putting anther strip about 4 to 6" from the top on the front to act as both a guard and a another brace but it made putting the saws away harder and I just didn't feel it was needed.

I had a friend over and he was commenting on how nice the wood looked as well. I bought some locally cut ambrosia maple and found much of the really figured parts are also the worst pieces to use. It's either cracked or crazy grain to cut and work. Its hard to see but the inside, side is really nice looking but as a few stress cracked that work fine for this use.

The hickory wow, I bought 3 old boards from the same person as the maple and BOY is that wood hard and the pieces I have had some really nice grain.
