This ash bowl cracked in four different places before it was even finished, so I made it an experimental bowl. All the patterns began as doodling, and slowly morphed into some kind of crazy tribal tattoo. I had intended to completely blacken the inside of the bowl with a torch, but I noticed that the grain lines blackened very quickly and made that cool black and tan effect. I think I have a new favorite bowl.
