last summer my 100 year old oak tree lost a fight with a storm and this is what i have left of it. nothing too special here, just a few cuts with a chainsaw and a little time. Now we have a nice place to sit. Thanks for looking.
The only furniture type pieces I've done where the bark statyed on were from hickory, which holds well. One of my first oak stools was done with the bark left on, and it eventually came off. However, it seemed to keep the wood from drying too fast and splitting.
