Project Information

A rustic cabin gift box I made for a friend. She wanted something to like this to put a bottle of whiskey and a couple of shot glasses in for a gift.

The roof lifts off and there is a box inside that lifts out that will hold those items. I made all of it from pine. A basic box. The log look was created by rounding over a number of boards and then trimming off on the table saw those rounded edges. Then glue them to the box. Once dried I used a plumbers torch to color the whole project. Lastly a coat of Early American stain by Minwax.

I picked up the gripper 200 this year and this was the first project I was able to use it on. Talk about preventing snipe. Another Whiteside router bit that did a great job. Not even a speck of a burn mark.

On to the next project.

The specific contents are for the owner to supply. She gave me a dollar amount for the project. This way she can make her selection. I'm sure it will look nice.
