Project Information

Another barn pick piece. A large, 18 1/4" wide pine board that was in good shape. Made a bench out of it utilizing pegs to hold the legs in place (if someone knows the proper name for this, please enlighten me) The main beam is made of wormy poplar, But just did it with no plan, like all my other projects, just do it from memory. It's funny I build that way because I used to be a draftsman! Anyway, I took this to the consignment shop & put it up for sale. Oh, and forgot to mention this is made of course, out of old barn wood.

Paul,

I love to see old wide boards used like this. That is a wonderful looking bench.

You used through tenons. I guess they are also "wedged" or maybe it's "pegged". I'm sure others have more knowledge of this.
