Project Information

My shop was in the basement of my house when I built this. It was my router table and the outfeed table for my table saw. The whole top is adjustable to match the saw height using carraige bolts (see picture six). The top is 1x glued to birch ply wrapped with beech. The overhang is four inches all the way around as I had no vise and used my clamps to hold material. The opening for the router is birch ply with maple breadboard edges so there are no raw plywood edges. The carcase is finished with polyurethane and the top is beeswax dissolved in turpentine The router plate is from Rockler. There is an outlet in the box that is controlled by the switch on the front.

Notice the knobs. One is an indian head the other is a buffalo from the nickle. I know my profile says I am from Indiana, but I grew up near Buffalo NY. I built this when I lived in Rochester, NY. I spent a lot of time working on this bench listening to Buffalo Bills football.

The spattered paint on the front was from a brush cleaning mishap.

Both. I am not sure who i would be for if they met in the AFC Title game. Either way I would be happy because it would mean that the the Patriots aren't there. Of course the Colts look a lot like the Bills of the 90s.
