Project Information

Hey Lumberjocks,
This router bit storage box was made from 3/4" Pine plywood, drops from a previous project. Inside dimensions are about 14" x 6" and holds about 35 bits - 1/2" and 1/4" shank. I like giving projects like this an old and beat-up feel to them. The hardware is off the shelf from HD. This box will out-live me and be passed on to my grandkids, bits and all.
Thanks for checking out the router bit storage box.
Greg

Nice project.

I agree with the little scarrfy idea.

If it is to be used for real work; do NOT make it to pretty to use!

I love it,
Nice job,.
Do router bits dull quickly if rolling about in a box as opposed to individually placed like you have them here?

Well done. I made a much smaller version and need to make one this size. Thanks for the reminder and thanks for sharing

Your beat-up finish did the trick. Turned out just like you wanted. Cool finish. Can't have enough boxes.
