Project Information

While I was busy making the cigar factory tables Diego was busy making this round desk. It is all made from Sapele and 1/8" bend ply. Even though Diego built most of it everyone here helped make this desk a reality. It was stained a very dark brown stain and the clear is a pre cat lacquer. In the room where we installed it the lighting was not good to take quality pictures. The first two pictures I used a flash to get rid of the shadows. The next three pictures I used the natural light. The last picture was in the shop before it was stained. I have a bunch of pictures on how this desk was made. If there is enough interest in this project I will figure out where I can post all those pictures.

This is extremely nice. I went to your website and looked at all the cigar factory table build pictures and videos. Amazing work.

Love it! That's an excellent job on a fairly difficult project.
I can understand the bendy ply part, and the internal structural pieces, but how do you create the curved moldings?

The curved moldings were done on a bandsaw and a router,
