Rob that is really cool, great craftsmanship. Now I'm curious what the term "roubo" represents, I'm trying to make the tie to a roubo workbench now.

Great job sir!

Thank for stoping by and the kind words.

Roubo was a french craftsman who wrote a book about jointery that has survived and has a lot of really good info in it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andr%C3%A9_Jacob_Roubo. Chris Schwartz has popularized Roubo.

Nice work Rob. It would be great to use for recipe books in the kitchen because when you're done using it it can be folded up and easily stored.

BRAVOGULFTANGO, if you go to The Woodwright's Shop and browse the old episodes available, you'll find a show where Roy demonstrates the build process.

Awesome book stand! Like the wood and design is very well executed. Shows a lot of skills on creating one.

Thank you, my woodworking guild did these as a group build. Lumberjock Garyshrp had built an example and worked out some scale factors. I sure developed a need for a THIN paring chisel. It is really fun when they pop apart an become functional art.
