Project Information
We have an upcoming baby shower to attend. This will be a who is who kind of party, very large amount of people who WILL turn this into a contest. I'm sure everyone knows these people…the one upper. The will be about 70 of those people there. Either way I decided to give a rocking chair a whirl. I have never built a rocking chair and had no plans. This is build in solid mahogany, with no hardware. I glued and doweled the entire project, no screws, no bolts. I glued up the mahogany and cherry for the checkerboard seat. This really came out much more attractive than imagined. Started this project on sunday afternoon and finished up Friday night. Only working in the evenings after work. Fairly quick for one of my projects. I will deliver this afternoon…and hopefully will make these one uppers leave with their tail between their legs. Haha. As always…thanks for looking.
