Project Information
Something new I thought I would try. They are called river mirrors and you use live edge wood as the river banks of the river. This one is made of Black Locust and the wood grain is very pretty. Don't know if you can tell with my pictures or not.
This one is 18" wide x 38 1/2" tall at it tallest edge and is approximately 1" thick. I used Hardy board on the back to give it stability. I also put hangers on two edges so it can be hung standing up or lying down.
I used my scrollsaw to cut out the backer board where a knot was so you can see the wall instead. The mirror is finished with brush on Delta semi-gloss lacquer, and a couple of coats of wax.
Thank you for looking and appreciate you comments.
