Project Information

The top is a refurbished bar top and the legs are Rhodesian teak railroad ties. I sandblasted the entire table after assembling to bring out the character of the wood and accent the natural checking. It's stained dark (Imbuia) to blend the differences in wood coloring between the legs and top. I finished it with 4 coats of Woodoc mat clear coat. It weighs approx 110kg (230lbs) eeek!

Very nice! A great use of repurposed wood and it would look super in a farm house. :)

Were the railroad ties finished with any preservative ?
