Very nice. I never did understand the band saw. My brother had one and he passed away 2 1/2 years ago. I know he would love for me to have it but I don't have a clue what to do with it. He never made things like this with his though. I'm not sure what he used it for. But after looking at your amazing boxes and many others on here, I think I'm getting the picture and I'm pretty sure I know I can't do it. These little boxes are amazing, the amount of work that you must put in them. Just saying.
Randy- You are so crafty with the hybrid boxes: false bottoms, secret compartments, and hidden locks. Your brain must never rest to come up with all these innovations! Plus I think you're havin fun. Good work.
Randy, this is a great job as usual. You have created a whole new genus of boxes… hybrid bandsaw/jointed boxes. I just keep wondering what you are going to come up with next. How about adding large corner splines that are cut in deep enough to join the outside joinery and the inside solid surfaces? Keep boxing and keep posting.
Thanks everyone, Big Al, don't think that I've never thought about doing splines on my work, I need to research on how to do it, I believe Andy has a write up on it.
It's a great piece and as a novice to the bandsaw box I am totally puzzled by this one. I have seen YouTube tutorials on simple boxes but yours is like Lance Armstrong (on steroids) would love to know how you put it together. Anyway it's top notch work!

Janice Thanks for your comment and reply, My Bandsaw boxes are very complex, not your average box, I've created my own spin on them but actually a simple bandsawn box are quite easy to make.
Montie Thanks they take more time but well worth if, they have no become my signature.
Andy Thanks this is my play time and yes having fun is what's it's all about.
Larry thanks Larry, I thought I saw a fly, flying around in my shop yesterday.
Bill Thanks it was a fun build.
Roger Thanks, Not much of that Ash left, it's just about gone I have way more hackberry this this ash and as I said I'm not even sure if it's Ash, I can say this though it's very….. soft, doesn't take much to put a dent in it and that could be due to decay?
Krudwig (Larry) thanks for your kind words, I plan on one day writing up a blog on my how to's
