Project Information

Made this box from a piece of wood that has been sitting in a corner for years and I have no idea what type of wood is and the veneer I used is walnut burl .
This box is made to fit the TV remotes that alway look they don't belong on the coffee table , problem solved .

Wow! Beautiful work. The lines remind me of a Japanese arch-very stylish.

Nice looking box. Way too fancy for remotes. Would make a good tea box.

Outstanding! I like the way the inside corners of the legs look. Does the box body sit on and in the leg?

- mikeacg

Thanks Mike
I cut the rebate through to the joint and eliminated the inside tip and like the appearance better.
I did not stop the rebate and and the box is very solid with the cross members and the box body being glued together .

It's a beautiful Box Klaus and certainly dresses up the table hiding all the remotes. I remember having 3-4 remotes sitting around different tables. This will solve the chaos. Good idea and nice work.

Thanks Dave
My wife is a neat and tide freak and we have had several boxes on the coffee table but all of them seemed to large so I hope this is the solution but I am sure I will find out .
O well I like making boxes and have lots of odd pieces of wood .
